What We Believe

1. The Scriptures

We believe the Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God’s perfect revelation of Himself to humanity. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth without any mixture of error for its matter. It serves as our supreme and totally trustworthy authority for faith and practice.

2. The Triune God

We believe in the one living and true God who eternally exists as a Holy Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is an intelligent, spiritual, and personal Being—the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Sovereign Ruler of the universe, worthy of our highest love, reverence, and obedience.

• God the Father: He reigns with providential care over history according to His grace, acting as a fatherly protector to all and a true Father to those adopted into His family through faith in Christ.
• God the Son (Jesus Christ): The eternal Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. Fully God and fully man, He lived a sinless life, died a substitutionary death on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, ascended to heaven as our sole Mediator, and will return in power and glory.
• God the Holy Spirit: Fully divine, He exalts Christ, convicts the world of sin, and effects regeneration. He indwells every believer from the moment of salvation, sealing them for final redemption and equipping them with spiritual gifts to serve the church and the world.

3. Humanity & Sin

We believe that human beings are the special creation of God, made male and female in His own image. However, through free choice, humanity rebelled against God, bringing sin into the world. As a result, all people are naturally transgressors, under righteous condemnation, and in desperate need of God's regenerating grace.

4. Salvation

• Salvation by Grace through Faith Alone: Salvation is offered freely to all who repent and trust in Jesus Christ. Justification is an act of God whereby He declares a sinner righteous solely through faith in Christ alone, based entirely on the imputation of Christ’s righteousness and not on any human works.

5. Sanctification & Christian Living

We believe sanctification is the progressive work of God whereby the indwelling Holy Spirit matures believers in holiness and obedience. While good works do not earn salvation, they are the inevitable fruit of a regenerated heart and serve as evidence of a living, saving faith.

6. The Church & Ordinances

• The Local Church: A New Testament church is an autonomous local congregation of baptized believers associated by covenant. Governed by Christ's laws and led by scriptural officers (elders and deacons), the church is called to make disciples, plant churches, and demonstrate Christ's love through acts of mercy and justice.
• Two Ordinances: We observe two symbolic acts of obedience: Believer’s Baptism by immersion in water, which visualizes our union with a crucified, buried, and risen Savior; and the Lord’s Supper, a memorial meal where we proclaim the Redeemer’s death until He comes.

7. Church, State, & Religious Liberty

We believe civil government is ordained by God for human order and safety, and leaders should be prayed for and obeyed—except in matters opposed to the explicit law of Christ. The Church must remain structurally separate from the State, possessing absolute religious liberty to conduct its internal ministry and leadership selection without civil interference.

8. Last Things

We believe that God, in His own time and way, will bring the world to its appropriate end. Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly.

• At Death: The souls of the righteous pass immediately into the conscious joy of Christ's presence, while the unrighteous experience conscious misery until the final judgment.
• The Final Resurrection: Christ will raise the dead and judge all people in righteousness. The unrighteous will be consigned to Hell, a place of everlasting punishment, while the righteous will receive glorified bodies and dwell forever in Heaven with the Lord.
